David S Chung is a dynamic nightlife entrepreneur and lawyer. Owning multiple restaurant and club venues in DC such Saint Yves and Abigail, David has become an authoritative guide to D.C. nightlife for major publications such as The Village Voice, The Washington Post, Eater.com and the Washingtonian. As a lawyer, David was a practicing litigation attorney who dedicated much of his work to pro bono efforts for the underprivileged in the District of Columbia. In addition, David is the first Korean American to serve on the University of Virginia Law School’s Alumni Council. The child of immigrant parents, David comes from humble backgrounds, is self-made and continues to be a staunch advocate for the Asian American community. He was hand-picked by three different D.C. mayors to serve as a Commissioner and eventually Chairman of the D.C. Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander (API) Affairs where he advocated the interests of the API community in the District of Columbia
